Roots and shoots

Lots of great news happening around here. First of all, the album is DONE! I can’t believe it’s been close to a year in the making, but I will be pressing CDs this week. It sounds amazing and the artwork is just gorgeous. I’m so proud of it and thankful for everyone who went above and beyond to make this a really great record. We’ll be releasing a single soon, so keep those ears to the ground.

Secondly, I’ll be shooting my very first music video today with the band and some good friends at Major Street Productions who have offered to help me out. I need to start googling synonyms for ‘excited’ because that seems to be the only thing I’m feeling these days. Not too sure when the release date will be, but I’m so glad it’s not going to rain today because we’re going to be outside all day.

AND finally, Robb and I recorded a couple videos last week and I’ve uploaded them to my YouTube channel (one is posted below). Our duo set is shaping up quite nicely and if you’d like to come hear us, we’ll be playing at the Tranzac on Wed. July 7 at 7:30 as part of my monthly residency there. Caylie Staples, a long time friend and musical partner, will be playing some of her ethereal compositions and will even sit in on a few tunes of mine.
